EL SALVADOR 2025

About El Salvador 2025

In the rural areas of El Salvador, like in many parts of the world, countless children grow up facing overwhelming challenges. Poverty, lack of access to quality education, domestic violence, child labor, and malnutrition are just a few of the harsh realities these children face every day. These struggles are often passed down through generations, stifling the dreams of these young ones and limiting their chances to grow and thrive.

We know that growing up in such an environment can cause children to lose faith in themselves, to feel that their circumstances define them, and that the future is out of reach. However, we firmly believe that every child has unique potential, and with the right support, they can break through those barriers and become whatever they dream to be. This year, under the theme "Imagine, Dream, Make It Happen!", we aim to give these children the opportunity to rediscover their inner power and help them see that their dreams are possible.

The activity is designed to inspire and empower each child, no matter how tough their circumstances are. We know that, as children, there were times when we just needed someone to believe in us. Perhaps we heard a phrase that motivated us, or met someone who told us we could achieve whatever we set our hearts on. Today, we want to be that light for these children.

During the activity, we’ll hold career role-playing games, where children can "become" whatever they dream of being—doctors, teachers, engineers, artists, or any profession that inspires them. Through play and imagination, we’ll show them that no matter where they were born, they have the power to change their destiny. We want every child to see that they can overcome poverty and adversity, and that the only real barrier is not believing in themselves.

Additionally, we will offer psychological training sessions for the volunteers to prepare them to work with children of all ages and backgrounds. We understand that many of these children have faced trauma, abuse, or neglect, so it’s crucial for our volunteers to be equipped to handle these situations with sensitivity and empathy. Volunteers will learn how to communicate effectively and provide emotional support that builds the children’s confidence. They’ll be prepared to tackle tough questions, create a safe space, and most importantly, remind these children that their worth is not defined by their circumstances.

Beyond the games and activities, we’ll also be distributing donations, including toys, school supplies, food baskets, and meals. We want to make sure that, even for a day, these children feel like they have access to what they need to dream big. To ensure their physical well-being, we’ll also provide free medical and dental checkups, ensuring they get the care they need to grow up strong and healthy.

We believe that activities like this can be a turning point in these children’s lives. It’s not just a day of fun and donations—it’s a chance for them to see that there are people who believe in them, who remind them that their background does not define their future, and that they have the power to imagine, dream, and make their dreams a reality.

We hope that each child leaves this event with a renewed spark of hope, their hearts filled with joy, and the certainty that they can become whatever they choose to be. Because we all need, at some point in our lives, someone to inspire us and help us see that the future is full of possibilities, no matter the challenges we face and a simple act of believing in themselves can be the first step toward transforming their lives.
